Dr. Dona Jayakody obtained a PhD in Audiology from the University of Christchurch in 2012. She now focuses her research on three areas:
- Understanding hearing loss’ causal relationship with dementia.
- Assessments of central hearing could help identify trends in dementia patients and
- The impact of hearing aids and cochlear implants on the cognitive function of older hearing-impaired adults needs to be studied as well.
