I am a problem solver and medical research has no shortage of challenges to overcome to improve human health.
Derek Delaney is a Research Officer in the Hearing Therapeutics department at the Ear Science Institute Australia.
Derek has joined after finishing a PhD at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (through the University of Western Australia) in targeted drug delivery to aggressive types of cancer.
Derek brings experience in preclinical development of targeted drugs and biomedical molecular imaging to Ear Science Institute Australia, where he aims to assist Dr Elaine Wong and Associate Professor Hani Al-Salami in developing targeted drugs and investigating mechanisms that could potentially restore hearing.
