David Krasnostein AM is a distinguished leader in law, private equity, and corporate governance, recognised for his significant contributions to equitable access to justice. As the former CEO of MLC Private Equity, Australia’s oldest and largest private equity investor, David brought visionary leadership to the industry.
David previously served as Chief General Counsel of National Australia Bank and became Telstra’s first General Counsel and Head of Strategic and Corporate Planning, setting the foundation for strategic innovation. Earlier in his career, he was a Partner at Sidley Austin in Washington DC, solidifying his expertise in law and global business.
Currently, David serves as a Director of The Royal Mint, The Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery, and the Hellenic Museum of Victoria, showcasing his dedication to governance and cultural advancement. In 2019, he was honored as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his exceptional service to law and advocacy for equitable access to justice.
