Frequently Asked Questions

Implant Referrals NSW

Your GP may refer you to an ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat specialist) if they believe it’s needed.

For hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, or ear infections, it’s often best to see an audiologist first. A hearing assessment helps determine whether an ENT referral is necessary and provides key information that ENTs usually require.

At Lions Hearing Clinic, our audiologists work closely with GPs and ENTs, ensuring you get the right referral and the best pathway for your hearing health.

Steff has looked after me very well for about 12 years. Her solutions have worked for me and the organisation at Lions Hearing has worked very well and been very helpful.
If you have concerns with anything hearing related, (in my casw tinnitus) Sheng and team are amazing. I’ve seen reviews from different clinics on google where they are being charged huge amounts just for them to be showcased with the facilities rather than getting an actual diagnosis, Lions Hearing Clinic is legit and really demonstrate care to their patients! Kudos to them!
My husband has been very happy with the service at Gwelup. The advice, recommendations and time taken to give him the best results has been 5star!
The audiologist gave me a very thorough hearing test, and clear explanations about age-related hearing loss and tinnitus. I felt he listened to my questions and answered them clearly. He also told me about things I would not have thought to ask about. I highly recommend Lions Hearing Clinic, Neutral Bay, for their caring and comprehensive service.
I was very satisfied with my earwax removal at the clinic the other day. What immediately impressed me was the instant ability for me to see the camera inside my ear that clearly showed the earwax in the canals, and the ear drums. The process was different from a previous one I've had but it was clearly explained and - what seemed to be low-probability - risks were covered. I had no ill effects! I was also impressed that I was given complete answers to all my searching questions about hearing aids and treated as intelligent! On the basis of my experience of Lions Hearing Clinic, I will be going back for advice and would definitely recommend them.
Staff very helpful
Excellent service this morning. Highly efficient and professional. Greatly appreciated - Thanks again
I found Tania to be extremely patient and attentive when my mum presented for her appointment. Tania was able to ease her mind on the possibility of having hearing aids issued and provided mum with little changes that we can make in her daily routine to ease the frustration of coming to terms with aging and hearing loss. We look forward to seeing Tania again this year.
Very detailed and thorough examination.
The results were enlightening and need follow up.
Issue with eustachian tube to be resolved if possible.
The staff are incredible in general how I would like to give specific praise to Tara. I was unfortunate enough to have an immediate and significant hearing loss in my right inner ear due to head trauma. As a musician and a person of a relatively young age bracket, I was understandably affected by this mentally. Tara's ability to kindly and gently introduce me into my unavoidably new way of living was not only crucial but it was comforting. My appreciation towards Tara is massive and I will be forever grateful. Her vast and in depth knowledge is impossible to miss and it's clear that she is top tier in her field of expertise. Tara is also very thorough throughout the entire process, making sure that nothing is missed and all boxes are ticked in order to provide the patient with the best possible treatment and satisfaction. If Tara isn't already known to be an elite specialist in her field then she definitely deserves a shout out. I'm not one who usually participates in surveys but, I absolutely had to make an exception in this case. Thank you so much. 😊
