Giving those in need the ‘Gift of Hearing’

Do you want to change someone's life with hearing loss?

The Gift of Hearing ‘Change a Life’ program makes quality hearing care and treatments available to those that cannot access what they need, due to hardship. It has changed the life of many West Australian adults and children, including Jake.

Jake has had hearing loss for most of his life. Thanks to Ear Science Institute Australia, Sonova, and the Gift of Hearing Donors, Jake now has the gift of hearing.

What is the ‘Change a Life’ program?

The Gift of Hearing ‘Change a Life’ program is an initiative from Ear Science Institute Australia that gives people in our community access to the care they need to improve their hearing and reduce feelings of isolation and cognitive decline.

The annual Gift of Hearing appeal matches donors with individuals who need hearing treatment but cannot access it for financial and/or social reasons. Gift of Hearing and our donors facilitate and fund all treatment needed, including assessments, premium hearing aids or cochlear implants, and ongoing
care to suit the individuals hearing and lifestyle needs.

We encourage all our ‘Change a Life’ recipients to share their stories. These stories are shared to inspire future Gift of Hearing donors to give
again and change more lives. Our ‘Change a Life’ program has changed the life of many West Australian adults and children, and we are ready to support someone you know, who is in hardship, and change their life.

What is covered by the program?

The program will cover everything, including:

All device costs
All appointment costs, and
All device maintenance and repairs, for 5 years.
