The COVID-19 pandemic saw a surge in interest in telehealth to deliver health services in ear and hearing health. Ear Science Institute Australia was commissioned and funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and supported by the Hearing Health Sector Alliance to report on the scope of tele-audiology services and the evidence for these services to be part of audiology practice in the future.
Tele-audiology will continue to grow as an essential and viable method for delivering hearing healthcare services across Australia.
