Barry Marshall and Robin Warren Postgraduate Research Travel Award

Ear Science-based PhD student Huan Ting Ong recently won the UWA ‘Barry Marshall and Robin Warren Postgraduate Research Travel Award’ for 2019. Ting’s project involves regulating and deciphering cell-to-cell communication in stem cells and the skin to improve and understand wound healing.

Ting plans to fully utilise the funding to support her collaboration with Associate Professor Rebecca Lim and Dr Gina Kusuma (Monash University and the Hudson Institute of Medical Research), and Dr Jess Frith (Monash University).

The travel will further extend the parameters of Ting’s current research, which will be of benefit to the scientific community and other 3D/spheroid studies, such as cancer research.

Congratulations, Ting!
