In 2018, our Clinical Research team published 41 papers in international; peer-review journals.
The research covered a wide range of topics with a focus on translating findings into clinical practice through our Lions Hearing Clinics and Ear Science Clinic, as well as clinics in Australia and overseas.
Some of the key projects were using technology to improve access to services; how patients fared long-term after major hearing-related surgeries; hearing aid handling skills and knowledge, and better predicting the outcomes of hearing implants.
Key Clinical Researchers leaders are Adjunct Professor Rob Eikelboom, Dr Dona Jayakody and Ms Cathy Sucher who work with internationally renowned researchers, surgeons, biostatisticians and more to improve the quality of care for all people with hearing loss.
